We have to brainstorm what ALL student will need to know in order to do our end goal which is to write and put on a play. So this is where we start then we will add in what we already do have.
Also we must submit this by FRIDAY!!!!!!!!!!
Its really going to be difficult to finish this if you dont contribute and add to the blog everyday.
If we reference back to our concept map this can help. We need to teach
ReplyDelete1. Writing the play (we have)
2. Genres (we have)
3. We need to teach the performing elements; verbal and nonverbal expressions, movement/acting, speaking.
4. We need to learn how to make advertisements for the play
5. We need to know how to pick and utilize a venue
6. We need to teach how to create a program
7. We need to know what kind of sound and visual elements to use + props to use
8. We need to know the cast and use of auditions
9. Background knowledge of playwrights from he pas i.e. Shakespeare
all of these are rough ideas that can be changed, combined whatever but its a start
I can put this story board together tomorrow and email both of you a copy before I submit it. I finished my two papers today, which will allow me to complete this for our group tomorrow.
ReplyDeleteObviously you can make changes or corrections how you see fit.
ReplyDeleteI will get on it right away as I know she needs to review it in order for us to continue with the project.
ReplyDeleteNice. I am working on those papers now... but as youre doing the storyboard if you email me any questions or have confusion, I get emails on my phone and can respond back pretty quickly!
ReplyDeleteBut I know that we each have to create a new piece of information for podcast, or lesson plan or whatever to add to it. This is kinda hard to do over a blog if I do say so myself.
Okay will do. Working on it now!
ReplyDeleteSo if you also look at her sample storyboard we could do something like this (web pages in CAPS)
ReplyDeleteHOME PAGE
Podcast; concept map; blog
STANDARDS PAGE
PLAYWRIGHTS PAGE
Google Maps/ Penn Pals/ Shakespeare
WRITING A PLAY
literary elements
PERFORMING IN A PLAY
performing elements
ADVERTISING (?)
Flyers...
PUTTING ON A PLAY
-props, venue etc...opening day, time,
WRAP UP
Reflection
Assessment
Looks good!
ReplyDeleteI will continue to put together now.
ReplyDeleteWhat was the basis for your lesson plan #1 and do you know Katlyn's by chance?
ReplyDelete1. Generating and Organizing Ideas for Story Writing
ReplyDeleteGoal: Students will gain an understanding of the plot structure of a story and use this information later to identify the plot structures of a playwright
2. Favorite Broadway Musical Data Collection
Goal: Students will gain an understanding of data collection and the use of Excel to record data. (we all basically had this goal)
is this what you mean?
And I have absolutely no clue what she has been doing. :/
Yes, that is exactly what I mean! Thanks!
ReplyDeleteAlso, out of social media, props, and venue which would you like me to put your name by as something you would want to research for an upcoming assignment?
ReplyDeleteOops I mean Flyers, Social Media, and Props rather,
ReplyDeleteWhat do you mean by social media?
ReplyDeleteAs far as advertising goes.
ReplyDeleteWe each have to pick a new item we will talk about on each of our two web pages and how we display it or what resource we would use for example, a podcast. Does this makes sense because this thing doesn't make a whole lot of sense to me. Lol
ReplyDeleteI think we only have to create 1 new thing each but Ill do props
ReplyDeleteso do we actually create a new thing or do we just say what it would be. but ya im kinda confused too hah
ReplyDeleteHer directions:
ReplyDelete4. figure out what original resource each group member will do and plug it in where it fits ( requirement is: each group member needs to create an original resource- such as a lesson pla, podcast, etc in all caps on story board.
5. Last thing you need to decide is what new items of info. You will need to fill in all areas on the pages you decided on (another word, not the homepage or standards page) needs to contain one or more new items of info. Not given through out the semester-ideas for lesson plans that could be compiled for the area of your topic. Your original resource does not count. This is also where you will add web lesson sites for viewer to get more info.on what you are suggesting for another lesson. This is just a brief explanation of new idea with websites to give more info.
ReplyDeleteBlahhhh, ummm okay well I guess could you email me what you have so far its hard for me to think of what is needed...
ReplyDeleteAND KATLYN WHERE ARE YOU????????????
ReplyDeleteI am beginning to get frustrated. Everything cant always be done last minute.... haha oh well were still pushing through!
ReplyDeleteLuckily though if something is not right she will let us resubmit for corrections :D
ReplyDeleteJust sent the email!
ReplyDeleteI will edit and take out my comments of course before I submit it.
ReplyDeleteThank you so much Meredith for stepping up and doing the storyboard, very very much appreciated! And she said good job! Awesome awesome! :)
ReplyDeletemaybe you can just paste the storyboard in here since email/ google docs is being goody

ReplyDeleteI apologize I've been dealing with issues with my son, he's been sick since Wednesday.
ReplyDeleteI am not able to open the document that was sent.
My first lesson was on determining good acting techniques
My second lesson was on choosing a play genre
My digital story was on how to build a set/where to start with scenery for the play
As far as where to go it seems the list first posted by Chelsea is a great start. Casting/Auditions would be an easy topic to discuss through one of the forms we have utilized. As well as Advertising (web pages, flyers, radio, etc.), which could be very fun for the students.
1. Writing the play (we have)
ReplyDelete2. Genres (we have)
3. We need to teach the performing elements; verbal and nonverbal expressions, movement/acting, speaking. - I did discuss most of this in my lesson #1
4. We need to learn how to make advertisements for the play (think this would be a great one to work on)
5. We need to know how to pick and utilize a venue (another one that there is a decent amount of information on)
6. We need to teach how to create a program (this could utilize technology very well)
7. We need to know what kind of sound and visual elements to use + props to use (I had talked a little about this in my digital story but not all of it, mostly just scenery)
8. We need to know the cast and use of auditions (very easy to find information on)
9. Background knowledge of playwrights from he pas i.e. Shakespeare (we kind of have from the penpal thing)
*Please just let me know anything I need to do I understand I haven't been able to contribute on this and I apologize, my parents are watching my son until this afternoon so I have a decent amount of time to catch up on all of my homework. I understand that I am late on this so please anything that needs to be done please let me know.*
